Carmen relocated to the Reading School District at the innocent age of three. She flourished academically by all 12 years of her education at Reading. Carmen graduated from Reading lofty School successfully with an honors diploma, and additionally had been offered several scholarships due to her intelligence. 1 would think that Carmen would prosper in college and then thrive in a rewarding job. However, that would only happen if the Development, Relief, and Education for foreign Minors Act (DREAM Act) were passed. Unable to go to college since her parents brought Carmen to the unify States from Mexico, she does not have a social security number, and is considered an illegal immigrant. The DREAM Act would hold in to immigrants that have lived in the U.S. for five years, beforehand the age of 16, and has received a high school diploma. The individual would earn conditional permanent residency in the joined States if they serve 2 years in the military, or two years at a college, and exhibit good good char moulder during that time. This bill represents hope for a better early for students like Carmen, that dont want to be penalized for their parents actions. However, the act that was introduced in 2001 has still not been passed.



The DREAM Act would second strengthen our nations work force and arrive at our economy.
The DREAM Act will not only choose the immigrants who have lived here most of their lives, but also the linked States by utilizing the money already spent on them. there are many people who would be able to apply for the Act because public schools in the U.S. are legally induce to educate any student, without questioning their immigration status (Wilcox). The United States should not savage the money that has already been invested in these kids through public schools (Wilcox). Once these immigrants graduate from high school, they may go back to their home countries and use their education there.
