This novel tells a story nearly foreboding(a) African American women workings for snow- whiten families in the early 1960s, in capital of Mississippi Mississippi. A women by the name of Skeeter decides to write a Novel from the battery-acid of view of the help, after she reads Jim Crow Laws. Jim Crow Laws segregated national schools, places, transportation, and the segregation of restrooms, restaurants, and drinking fountains for whites and blacks. The book takes place in a fictional town called Nice Ville and was published anonymously. She looks for help in two maids Minnie and Aibileen who are best friends both born and increase in the south. Minnie works for Miss Hilly Holbrook, but Minnies save Leroy is a very abusive man, and as a black maid in Jackson, Minnie is expected to be submissive and tranquility; but she is not. Minnie says what she feels and speaks on how unfair blacks are treated in the south. On the other hand, Aibileen is a wise black women, who has brocaded seventeen white children. And now she works for Mrs. Leefolt, cooking, cleaning and pickings care of Mae Mobley .



But every sense Aibileen son Treelore died in an accident she cannot except things the way they are in Jackson . So with that being said, Aibileen and Minnie agrees to help Skeeter with her book. They began by telling stories about how they had to use a different restroom then the white families they work for. Then Minnie States I got fired for using the same bathroom as Miss Hilly Holbrook. Minnie also tells how she make a special pie with a secret ingredient in it ,to embark on Miss Holbrook back for telling every white women in the town not to hire her as a maid. Aibileen tells how Miss Leefolt dont even hold her own daughter Mae Mobley or show her any love.
